Giulia Petrone and Emily Podany, third-year Hematology-Oncology Fellows at Washington University School of Medicine, are recipients of the 2024 Knowlton Incentive for Excellence Award. The Knowlton Award recognizes and support fellows who exemplify a compassionate spirit combined with outstanding knowledge and skill.
Giulia’s research explores clonal hematopoiesis as a precursor to myeloid neoplasms and investigates novel strategies to prevent progression to malignancy. Emily’s research is focused on breast cancer as well as health care inequity.
