Each spring the Hematology/Oncology first year fellows is present their original clinical trial concepts to the faculty and fellows of the Divisions of Hematology and Oncology. This year the trials include novel phase I & II clinical trials, genomic studies and trials of cellular therapies.
Since 2002 all Hematology/Oncology fellows at Washington University write and perform a clinical trial beginning in their first year of fellowship with 65% of IRB-approved studies leading to a published manuscript.
